380 Degrees
Large expanses of glass provide pedestrian activation to the ground level retail component, retail entrances and residential entry off Bay Street. The retail entry dominates the corner and is enhanced and accentuated by an aluminium canopy. Above the shop front windows and canopy, and in other sections of the podium, textured patterned concrete has been utilised to create an interesting and articulated response that will soften the pedestrian interface.
The residential lobby off Bay Street has a strong presence and ties into the language of a gateway corner, clearly identifying and delineating the area to create a sense of address. Organic, patterned metal panels are used on the canopy immediately above the entry.
Perforated metal screens in three different colours will include a fine grain organic pattern. Operable, they will continually morph and transform, adding movement to the facade. Glass and metal balustrades are held up by rendered walls. The whole ensemble hovers majestically above a dark recessive podium which is dominated by expanses of glass.
