Keilor Park Drive Masterplanning
Taking full advantage of its prominent location and close proximity to Keilor Park Reserve, the studio set new industry benchmarks through innovative approaches to office design, ESD and technologies.
The project comprises of a mixture of 9 office and warehouse buildings and including a retail component at the entry to the estate. Designed as a gateway to this newly developed mixed use area, the proposal creates a series of small scale 2 storey high buildings spreading across the site, responding to both programmatic requirements as well as the potential views and pedestrian linkages to the Reserve.
While openings on the western facades are kept to the minimum with additional shading devices, building ends on the north and south are sliced open to let natural light penetrate the interior and take full advantage of the views to the reserve. Window reveals with deep shrouds also create a facade feature that is repeated throughout the project as a signature element. A well considered drought tolerant landscape design is also proposed as an integral part of the whole development.
