Commercial Master Plan, with Holistic Approach to Wellness and Sustainability, Approved for 34-54 Clayton Road

Commercial Master Plan, with Holistic Approach to Wellness and Sustainability, Approved for 34-54 Clayton Road

We are thrilled to announce the approval for a Rothelowman designed office lead development for 34-54 Clayton Road, Clayton, Victoria.

Approval has been granted for the staged development of 8 buildings ranging in height between 3-11 stories, providing a hotel, a childcare centre, retail, food & beverage facilities, a gymnasium, showrooms and just over 65,000m2 NLA of office space.

This new precinct will contribute to the surrounding public realm by focusing not only on the scale and the architecture of the buildings but, more importantly, on the spaces between them, providing humanist experiences on both an urban and pedestrian scale. The key to this is extending the virtue of the park to the south, and through the site, via a walkable, linking, green zone.

Kim Lowman, Founding Principal of Rothelowman, shares, “We took a holistic approach to design a commercial precinct that considers wellness, collaboration and connection to nature.”

The development will include an advanced typology of office space with a high level of wellness offerings, from state-of-the-art end-of-trip facilities to generous communal public use zones. With a high-quality architectural outcome, a walkable ground plane with edible gardens and activated complementary services, this will be a commercial precinct where building occupants will experience a livable and progressive workplace.
